How to Succeed

The book gives you every single step of learning to swim by overcoming fear first. Learning to float is a basic skill. There’s a lot of learning that comes before floating! Skip no steps. You haven’t heard them all in traditional lessons.

Tether: the belt goes around your waist. The white loop connects to a mooring.  A third part extends or shortens your distance from your mooring. As you become more confident, expand the tether to float further away. Color coded connectors make connections simple.

Choose the belt that most closely fits your waist. The belt doesn’t convert to an extender. If you want the option of being further from the wall than the included blue extender allows, buy the extra extender and choose the length you prefer. Someday the belt will convert to an extender!

If you have a brick and want to use it with the tether in water up to 8 feet deep, buy the 30 inch extra extender. If in water up to 13 feet deep, buy the 60 inch extra extender.

What would you try if you knew you'd be safe?
Read the whole book to learn to be comfortable in the shallow and deep. You can fully learn to swim safely in deep water with the book, tether, and a pool with a mooring. You can also use a fence post for a mooring.

In a Rush?

The urgency to learn is understandable. However, to succeed, you must start at the beginning. The book provides every single step an adult needs to learn to swim, from fear in shallow water to freedom in deep water. It doesn’t include strokes because strokes are not relevant to overcoming fear or learning to be safe. Strokes are for efficiency.

* Do you believe you’re a sinker? There are a few. If you truly are one, it need not be an emergency. The book tells you why… and how to be safe and comfortable as a sinker. Olympic swimmers are sinkers!
